HOWLING AT THE MOON
The song of the lonely wolf
Howling at the moon.
Beaconing for his only love
As sings his lonely tune.
He sings for his one true love
As he howls at the iridescent moon.
Hoping she will hear his pleas
And they'll be together soon.
His song of loneliness and longing
Isn't wasted on pine trees.
For in the distant, she answers back
Howling at the moon to answer his plea.
